Maybe that information helps identifying whether your scanner is similar to another type where a SANE driver has already been written. Hi, Pavlushka Which Scan Program software do you use? And it seems that there is no support for that scanner yet in the sane package. If it also lights under Linux, sorry, I don’t know what it could be.

This and many other models are fully supported by the latest sane-backend. How does hiding that add any security at all?
Only scanners with product id 0x will work; try the gt68xx backend, if your scanner has product id 0x Done 0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
